Don't Boo, Vote!

One of the most important aspects of participating in a representative democracy is using the power of your vote to select your representatives in government. On this page you will find handy links and tools to ensure you’re registered to vote in the State of Michigan, find your polling location, and see a sample ballot of the closest upcoming election.

Although the voter registration deadline for the November 8 General Election has passed, you can submit a registration form to be registered for later elections. A download link for a .pdf of the Michigan voter registration form can be found here: Michigan Voter Registration Form

The Secretary of State’s office maintains a website laying out all of the information a voter in Michigan needs to be informed of the process from top to bottom, and that can be found here: INFORMATION FOR VOTERS.

If you’re looking for a handy step-by-step tool to learn how to register to vote, you can click the following link for a guide that lists what you’ll need to do: Register to Vote Guide.

And, finally, you can use the Michigan Voter Information Center to determine your registration status, the location of your polling place, and even see a sample ballot. All you’ll need to do is enter your name, birthday, and zip code or your driver’s license number and birthday to access that information.
